1. What’s the difference between mixing and mastering?
Mixing is the process of balancing all elements of your track. vocals, instruments, drums, etc.. to make it sound cohesive, clear, and professional.
Mastering is the final polish that makes your song loud, consistent, and ready to play on any platform from headphones to Car speakers.2. How do I know if I need mixing, mastering, or both?
If you recorded raw stems (vocals, instruments, beats), you need mixing first. After the mix is polished, mastering ensures your track sounds professional across all speakers.
If you already have a mixed track but it sounds quiet, uneven, or not “release-ready,” you may only need mastering.3. How should I prepare my stems for mixing?
- Export each instrument or vocal as a separate audio file and put them in a ".zip" folder.
- Keep each stem clean (no effects unless specified).
- Name your files clearly (e.g., “Vocals_Main.wav,” “Kick.wav”).
- Include a reference track and notes describing the vibe, energy, or style you want.4. How should I prepare my mix for mastering?
- Export your final mix as a high-resolution stereo file (WAV, 24-bit, 44.1kHz or higher).
- Avoid limiting or clipping — leave headroom around -6dB for optimal mastering.
- Include notes about the sound you’re aiming for (loudness, style, or reference tracks).5. How long does mixing and mastering take?
- Mixing: Usually 3–5 business days per track, depending on complexity.
- Mastering: Usually 1–2 business days per track.6. Do you offer revisions?
Yes! Every package includes 2 free revisions. If you want more adjustments, additional revisions are available for a small fee. I work closely with you until your track matches your vision.7. Can I get a custom quote for my project?
Absolutely! Complex projects, large albums, or tracks with many stems may require custom pricing. Just send your files and details, and I’ll provide a clear, fair quote.8. Do you work with all genres?
Yes! From hip-hop, R&B, pop, and electronic, to rock, lo-fi, and experimental sounds — I adapt my approach to your genre and artistic style.9. What payment methods do you accept?
